Member Posts: 1188 Location: Chicago IL. | It is usally bad luck to throw out a number when i`m fishing it, but I think its going to take 64.10 to win it. With the points race soooo close this year, pounds are going to be gold. Alot of fish came in from alot of different areas last weekend so unless something changes there should not be a ton of boats on top of each other. I just read a post from the MWC site that the MWC is going to have 3 rods/3 baits per angler. Not sure but I thought WI. was 3 baits 2 lines. That`s what the DNR said at the ntc rules meeting.

Member Posts: 1656 | John, WI is 3 rods for a total of 3 baits. The NTC limited us to 2 rods, but still let us run the legal limit of 3 presentations...ie "Cheater lines" were in play. If you and Mark need some additional boards and rods to "play". Let me know, I can help you boys out. As for weight....some one will find 'em as always, but the fish are going to be in transition a bit more. I'll guess 58.72# for the win.

These weights will blow away the NTC weights, Look at the teams, with that packed field of talent on the bay compared to the NTC.....with optimal weather conditions I'll say close to 70lbs to win!!!!!! more precisely(68.5lbs)

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | If they pay out the top 20 I'll say a 4 lb average for two days will get a check and it will take about 62 lbs to win it. You can bet weather will play an important role, specifically wind and what direction it comes from. What I guarantee will happen is guys will find 30-45 lb bags in prefish but when the field camps out on those fish they won't bring in those kinds of weights. And given the field of the MWC they still won't do much better than the NTC. Alot of top sticks had poor showings in the NTC and it will happen again......no doubt.

Member Posts: 1188 Location: Chicago IL. | Jayman, heading up sunday night and thanks for the offer but we are set with everything. Good to see you at the NTC. Just never fished a WI tourney useing 3 rods. With a 8 fish limit there wont be as much nerve racking decisions haveing to be made.

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Info taken from MWC Web Page Fish Limits Fish must be 15” and over; any fish that is brought in under 15” is a state violation and will result in a DQ for the tournament. Teams are allowed to weigh a limit of 5 fish per team per day. Culling is NOT allowed and there is an 8 fish limit/team in the livewell. (If fishing in the Fox River, you may only have 6 fish in the livewell. It is a state violation if you have 6 fish in the livewell and continue to fish in the Fox River.) All fish brought in must be turned over to MWC officials. No more than 3 baits are allowed per angler and you can only bring in walleye. Sauger and Saugeye are NOT allowed. From the MWC Forums There have been a lot of questions in regards to the number of rods that may be used in the Green Bay tournament so I wanted to help clarify your questions. As the Wisconsin State Law is 3 baits per angler you are allowed to use 3 rods/lines per angler as long as there is only 1 bait per rod. If you have 2 baits on a single rod, then you may only have 1 other rod with 1 single bait on it. This is per each angler so for the tournament as long as you are NOT fishing by yourself, you can theoretically use 6 rods with 1 bait on each rod. Please email me at: [email protected] if you have any further questions on this. I hope this helps clear up some of the questions we have had on this topic.

Jerry, I'm quoting you as saying alot of top sticks had poor showings. There were not "alot" of top sticks on Green bay in that tournament. I do agree that there will be some big names that have poor showings in the upcoming MWC event as there always is in any tournament. My point was simply this upcoming MWC event has a ton of talent and I do feel the weights will be larger given the experience and talent of the teams. Just my humble little opionion.......... ![]()

Member Posts: 1656 | I have to respectfully disagree, the NTC had some of the finest Green Bay fishermen participating. And yes there were some damn good sticks that fell flat on one day or another. I'm sure 20-30mph winds from the south then the west played a role in that. Now what would be fun is, I hand pick 25 teams from the NTC and put 'em up against your hand picked 25 teams from the MWC. That my friend is what I would call "Easy Money". ![]()

I agree, the big fish are a little harder to find right now but look for someone to get the job done and bring in around 70 lbs although 45 lbs will probably cash a check. It helps that they will be allowed to up grade 3 fish. I am amazed at how the water temps have dropped on the bay since last weekend. Well I am off to see I how would have faired if I entered.

Member Posts: 617 Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | 56.57 pounds for the win... Wallytap was a little over a pound high with his prediction. Are we using "The Price is Right" rules where if your prediction is too high your DQ'ed?
