Location: Rhinelander | The bad weather forecast to come in was absent this morning as the dawn broke clear and cool with brisk west breezes. Showers and some thunder storms are going to show up about noon with an early afternoon high in the high 60 degree range. World Walleye Ranking Number One Pro ( Yar Craft /Mercury) Tommy Kemos told WalleyeFIRST that he felt the rapid drop in water temps in the double digits was his largest enemy yesterday. He has hopes that will turn around a bit today. Day One leader Ranger/Evinrude Pro Chris Gilman said he felt the bite will improve today despite the weather coming in. Lund Pro Dennis Skurulsky told WalleyeFIRST some of his water cleared so much that he could see bottom in near 20'. Watch for the WalleyeFIRST Live Leaderboard to fire up about 2:15 Central time this afternoon. WalleyeFIRST Tournament Coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats! Member Posts: 744 | Steve- Can you give us a general idea of where some of these guys are running to? Long runs? North? South? Just wondering..... Dave S

Member Posts: 3899 | I see the Little Snuggler drew Pat Neu today! I heard a report of lots of broken boats, equipment, lost kickers, and sore bodies today. Some teams made the run to Ganoes! Some to Green Island. I wonder who/if anybody, is fishing the Menomonee River. Angler of the year goes back to JP today! Will he retain it tomorrow? Will they both settle it on Saturday? This is a good one again this year!

I'll bet that Tom Keenan is running to Green Island or Ganos. Those are his favorite spots!

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Gosh Cheri. Tom grew up in Little Bay de Noc. Maybe he knows a few spots a bit closer. Also, I know his favorite spot, its where he can catch fish. Just J/K'ing I'm with Brad, Geano's from esky, woweeee!! I have had enough seat time on the great lakes to know that there are very few people that would have the ca-ho-knee's to make a run like that.

Location: Rhinelander | The Bite was definitely tougher today, but that mostly due to rough conditions out on the Big Lake. There were many stories of broken gear and equipment today, and several Co Anglers on stage alone. In an act of selfless sportsmanship, Jason Przekurat helped a disabled rig out, costing himself what was reported to be 'at least an hour' fishing. Tomorrow looks to be much easier on equipment at this point, with 10 MPH West winds forecast. Steve Vandemark heads out in the lead, but one fish can make the difference tomorrow, so it's still very volatile for the Top Ten. Here it is to date: STEVE VANDEMARK JASON PRZEKURAT TROY MORRIS PATRICK BYLE CHRIS GILMAN THOMAS NORDYKE TOM KEENAN JASON KERR KELLY KLEMM TED TAKASAKI Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 794 Location: Elgin, Illinois | I counted something like 67 blasnks today... That is very tough... On the other hand... A real nice guy to fish with (I drew him on day two in Red Wing) Steve Vandemarke is sitting in First... And, my friend, Sunshine (Dennis Skurulsky) is sitting in 11th place... I am very happy for him... And, finally, lots of other good guys and great fishermen are hanging in there. It's tough to sit on the sidelines... But, good luck to every one of you guys and ladies...

Member Posts: 27 | Something in the water at Gander Mtn in Wausau. Three in the top 10 today, three in the top 10 yesterday. Keenan is the manager, Gilman was the manager and Przekurat just opened up a full time spot for me to come back to...I still stink at walleye fishing. Steinke worked there and is in the lead for co-angler of the year. Pretty cool, I've been blessed to work with a lot of these guys. Tague and Dowaitt also boys from the old #125. Worrall...should I put my Depthraiders away? ![]() My biggest walleye to date! ![]() Edited by Justin Gaiche 7/12/2007 9:26 PM Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Gee Stacker you are probably right, but a good friend told me last night that quite a few made the run. Tom might be one of them. I have fished with him and I know those are some of his favorite spots. Lets just hope whoever went today that they get back safe. Quite a few guys were sore last nite. Good luck everyone! ![]()

Member Posts: 580 Location: Green Bay, WI | If you can believe what you read from the FLW - Day 3 story Tom Keenan is fishing Chambers. Jason Przekurat & Troy Morris are fishing Oconto, but will probably head south based on today's weather. The Day 2 PM story said Troy Morris broke the top two bolts on his main engine and lost his kicker. Przekurat lost a kicker. Sounds like fun to be CO!

Location: Rhinelander | Jason told me this morning he intended to fish the same water, off of Oconto. There was an enormous amount of damage done to boats, motors, and gear yesterday. Hopefully, with the wind coming up later this afternoon, the following chop won't be so hard to run. Problem yesterday was a high chop running across swells coming form another direction.
