Location: Orland Park, IL | Noticed a couple of boards have been having line slippage with the OR18 release. They have to be maybe less than 2 seasons old. I guess I gotta replace the pads, but thought they would last a little longer than that. Maybe getting old and brittle? |

| Mark, I found the pads didn't hold up to a whole season of use with fireline. I double wrap the front clip (snapper) on all my boards.
It seems to be a "necessary evil" with fireline. |

| When I was with the pro's last week, he had the front one replaced with a black "Flip clip" I think they call it....Not as easy as the red ones, but seemed to hold it strong! |

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Have you tried to adjust the screw on the snapper? |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | I've used the same prototype Snapper releases for 4 years now. The only thing I've done is to tighten the screw on them from time to time. I've had little or no slippage with mono or fireline. I suggest tightening the screw down and adjusting it so it closes firmly on the line without any slipping. |
