water temps. running about 72' to 74' this morning while getting on the water at the 6:30 AM hour. Pretty neat sunrise greeted us this morning when Dave Brown and good buddy Jeff Brook got unboard this morning.
With west/north/west winds starting this morning we covered water depths between 23 to 35 feet of water with most productive waters the mud in between 23 to 26 feet, seeing many fish on the electronics along with large schools of baitfish.
Fishing techniques and using Walleye Choice harnesses ( I-42 and I-62) along with floater units (P-76-H)working equally well.
Using full size crawlers and 1/2 crawlers on the floaters worked well. Trolling speeds and between .8 and 1.0 mph best speeds.
Best fishing time seemingly was between 10o AM and Noon today.
We also caught numerous undersize walleye and perch although a bonus perch of "14 and 1/8 inches" came on one of the floaters! What a dandy!!!!!!!!
All in all a pretty good day with Dave and Jeff and happy smiles from both along with a great upcoming fish-fry tonight!
See you on the water,
Marty
