Another well run tournament! Had a blast even though the fish did not cooperate for us. Congrats to the winners and everyone else that cashed a check.

Nice work Rich. Seen you talking about the drop and stay. Today was the day it came in handy, especially on the east side.

WOW! what a day on the water... the bite was tuff. congradulations to all the boats who boated fish and to the boats with limmits , You guys need some props.... i have had some tuff days on the water but i havent seen it that tuff for a wile... im sure for the boats that had success there day went a little smoother but i speak for myself and know of plenty of local heavy hitters that couldnt put a limmit in the box... GREAT JOB TO ALL WHO PLACED! and JIM once again, another well run tournament .. i know you have your hands full , thanks agian and you are a class act , the tournaments you organize are allways smooth and stress free , other than the fish catching , fished hard and still licking my wounds. see you next time... still miss the old fleet farm a bit , hope there is a way to bring back the two day event .. nice to spend a little more time bench fishing with the boys before and after each event , if i could suggest a two day mws points weekend either double or multiply the points by 1.5 or possibly break the points into a day one points finnish and day 2 points based on finish.. the expenses would be limmited for the fisherman adding another day . anyway thanks again jim , and your staff.

I thought it was a tough bite after Friday and Saturday prefish. My plan, sans wolf walleye in the boat, was to try to eek out a limit somehow. My observer, Mike, started fishing at 7:30, and had a 16+" by 7:40. I thought the day started quite well, but several hours later, I still had just that one fish. Then came a double of 15"ers, and I had a tough decision. Being able to only put 5 in the box, I decided to box them anyway. It was nearly 10:00, and I was getting concerned about getting my limit. I could not repeat on a spot all day. Fish were scattered for me, and lots of small fish. Probably caught 15 other eyes, with maybe half those between 14 and 14 7/8"

The first 4 weigh fish all came from the right side of the boat. I was kidding with Mike that he needed to step it up a bit, as I was kicking his a$$! hehehe. I changed baits on the left side rod all day long. FInally, at 1:00, I put on a red Wally Diver, and not 5 minutes later, we had our 5th fish, a 16"er. A nice easy ride back across, and I weighed my limit. 6.66 lbs! I was leading both the tourney and the big fish pot! I was the first to weigh in! hehehe But we did move up to 14th in the points, which shocked me. I was just hoping to maintain sight of the top 25.

Was good to meet Boxman, and see Schmitty, Dale, and Mark Komo. Rich, your Drop N Stay works great. Used it Wednesday with good results. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 2 day event. Not sure if I would want it to be on Bago in August, though!

I see 1st and 2nd place tied with 15.22lbs. How does/was it decided who gets what? Didn't see anything in the rules on the website. Just curious how a tie-breaker works.

thanks

great play by play coverage Shep ! it was almost like i was there with ya... but no i was in my own world of @@@@ out there ... hmmm fish alone , move up in points? you may have something there.. its always nice when you look back on your day and second guess or just reflect on how your decisions play out.. id put my day in a nutshell on here but if i take out the 12 dozen nightcrawlers eatn by sheeps and perch and bluegulls and whitebass and rockbass and largemouth bass and small mouth bass and sheepsheads that leaves me with nothing other than a legal fish caught on the west shore at 8 am and on at 11 am on the east shore.. short fish in the middle to keep me content every 20 min or so... my arms are a foot longer from pulling up my anchor rope 100 times and my boat is full of the dark black worm dirt.. ( that is still lodged under my finger nails on my cut up hands,, my back hurts and im a little ...well pretty much useless at work today. my fishing partner hasnt spoken to me since and i havent found the corner of the playground where the loosers hang out... oh well... i did accomplish something i havent done in years . we fished up till the last 15 min looking for the majic 10lb fish to put me on top.. or maybe i would have needed an 11 as i found out at the scale.. anyway , the lake was pretty flat but there were top secret swells in the water i put the hammer down as i needed to cross the lake in fifteen min. from the east shore... we had a blast never pounding the boat just didnt seem to have the boat in the water at all on the way back, till my tac spun up twice in a row at about 50 mph as my prop for the first time in years came out of the water enough,, ive recked enough stuff in my day to know better, i dont know why i was in a hurry guess i got caught up in the moment... not as much fun comming into the scale in the nick if time with 2 fish. but agian great story shep always nice when guys re-live there day on here... oh and stop putting those kick me signes on my back,

Here is the first step we use in a tie breaker which is listed under (Prizes and Entry) in the rules.

In the event of a tie for total weight, the tie will be determined by team number, which is determined by the order entry forms are received.

Thanks

I see! Says the blind man..... Sounds like you run a great tourny. Might have to sign up for one in the future.

Thanks Jim.

Bill, if you are looking for one of the best run circuits around, you found it. Jim really listens and cares about the guys fishing his events. Plus I love the event being on Sunday because is gives the working man a chance to pre-fish without burning vacation days.

Let me second that Rich. Mr. Coons does an outstanding job with the MWS. You won't find a better run team circuit Bill.

Brad, I think at the GB tourney, we'll have to get together for a beverage after the weigh in.

Shep your saying that your observer caught a fish yet in the rules the observer is only suppose to contro the boat and net a fish and not fish al all yet you stated that he caught a 16" walleye which I believe is a violation of the rules right????

"My observer, Mike, started fishing at 7:30, and had a 16+" by 7:40."

Guest no balls to sign in. I missed typed. This should have said, "With my observer, Mike, I started fishing at 7:30, and had a 16+" by 7:40."

First, I mentioned Mike, to give him some kudo's for being a great guy, and being an observer for me. Second, I made it a point to say observer. I also said several times I used only three lines.

Just to make it perfectly clear, my observer, Mike, did not fish. He did not even touch a rod all day. He netted some fish, and kept the boat straight while I was reeling in fish or setting lines.

Guest, it's also my understanding that you weren't even in this tournament. I fail to see what concern this is of yours. Sour grapes from a friend who doesn't have the nads to ask for himself?

BTW, you are not perfect either. You failed to read the following post on the other thread. I hope this makes you feel better. Will you please stop calling Jim, and bothering him with your drivel. It would be one thing if you actually fished the tournament, but you didn't. I was fishing around at least 30 boats all day. They surely would have brought it up AT the weigh in if I had done what you alledge.

"Jim,

Another well run tourney. Thanks for letting me play, and for setting me up with Mike, my observer. I had a good time, and hope Mike did to. It must be hard to sit there all day, and not be able to actually fish. The company was actually better than my regular partner! And the result was the same, too. I caught all the fish!"

Also, your grammar and sentence structure is very poor for a grown up. I missed two words. You blew the whole deal. Get a life. You annons are real pieces of work.

ya go shep go! i could have had 5 mikes in my boat as spotters and i still wouldnt have put 5 fish in the box.... i think that last guy is just a little short on the trigger . most of us understood your post just fine... i like the way your side of the boat was out fishing mikes side... but as far as total weight ,, im thinking mikes side outproduced for the day... im glad you guys work so well togather .. my partner and i are both stubborn , he wanted to troll and i wanted to slip bobber fish... but as any good team we compromized .. i threw out my slip bobbers on my side of the boat and my partner put 3 offshores and cranks out his side. just drove in a very tight circle worked great!
