| Conratulations to Robert Blosser and Joe Okada on winning the second annual Sheboygan Walleye Club's Battle On The Bay held out of Oconto!
Robert and Joe topped a "Who's Who" of Green Bay walleye experts by almost five pounds setting a new Battle On The Bay record at 35.24 pounds for four fish! Their basket also included the second place big fish weighing 9.60 pounds.
All the teams weighed fish and only three teams didn't bring in a four fish limit.
Robert and Joe won $3500 for first place and $225 for second big fish.
Big fish winners were John Schneider and Kevin Adams with a 9.86 pound eye good for $350.
All the teams entered in the event recieved a Battle On The Bay t-shirt, a gift bag of discount coupons and freebies for Oconto area businesses and a $10 gift card courtesy of Sportsmans Warehouse.
Prizes were awarded for many of the teams that didn't finish in the money including a 14 bird pheasant hunt at the Ridgeline Hunt Club in Manitowoc, weekend motel stay at the Platter in Crivitz, gift cards by Sportsmans Warehouse and Fleet Farm, and gifts from Lakeshore Dental and Midwest Boat Rigging. Midwest Boat Rigging also had a repair trailer there in the event of needed repairs. A knife donated by the National Wild Turkey Federation was raffled off after the event.
It was a great tournament, great weather, and the City of Oconto is a great place to hold our tournament.
The third annual Battle On The Bay is already in the works. It will probably be the same weekend so mark you calenders!

1st - Robert Blosser / Joe Okada 35.24 $3500
2nd - Wayne Butz / Conner Butz 30.34 $1750
3rd - Jim Leanna / Mike Leanna 30.19 $900
4th - John Schneider / Kevin Adams 30.18 $650
5th - Brian Bahr / Dan Woodke 27.36 $450
6th - Steve Stack / Jeff Zawicki 26.96 $400
7th - Todd Barrows / David Koller 26.87 $350
