Member Posts: 3899 | Panther makes a strap to hold the kicker solid while trailering/motoring in the up position. Adjusts when you install it, and once in a while untill it stops stretching. Then you shouldn't have to mess with it.

| does anyone know how these straps work on a cmc lift? I've got a cmc, and have been using a rachet strap. It's been working, however I think this panther strap would work better. My only issue is that the cmc lifts the motor much higher than the panther. Any insight would be great. Thanks | |||

Member Posts: 3899 | The Panther strap is adjustable. May get long enough, but I don't know. I suggest you look at one, and maybe determine if it will work for you. Lots of them out there. Look for any Ranger with Evinrudes on it. It will have a Panther lift for the kicker. The boats with newer Mercs and Yammies will have only the Panther static plate.

| newer mercury kickers will not have a panther lift or a strap but they will have a pro kicker wich has build in strap and one damn good design. i'm glad i dont have to worry about my panther lift breaking or adjusting the starp after so many hours of use. Mercury pro kicker I love!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |||

Member Posts: 340 Location: McFarland, WI | I use a Ram mount to secure the kicker with a CMC lift. The ball is secured to the kicker with U bolts using the flat round mount and the other ball is mounted on the boat next to the splash well. It is a little more cumbersome to release the ball but it is absolutely secure. Larry
