I'll not be there for the weigh in and chat today. Eric has a football game at 5:00 PM. Somebody cheer for me when Pay Neu gets up! Thanks.

A cool front rolled through the area and caused some concern this morning about the bite with many of the pros that proved to be no problem. Most of the Pros weighed a limit fishing varied structure types using every technique in the box.

Tomorrow promises to be almost perfect weather, with moderate winds and temps in the high 70's to low 80's. As the weather stbilizes, so should the bite, and many of the Pros talkied of big fish in practice.

crestliner pro Danny Plautz did more than talk about big fish. He brought two to the scale rounding out the day's leading limit! Marty Glorvigen is in second just a bit under 2 pounds off the lead.

Watch for the Day Two coverage to begin about 8:30 tomorrow morning!

did anybody else notice that Danny Plautz was in a little tiller Crestliner? Wonder why?

Maybe he found a spot that needs a little boat to get into. Be interesting to hear the story on it.

Anybody know why Bill Ortiz is not fishing this event?
I didn't see his name on the leaderboard.
Thought he was a Super Pro before?

I believe I heard he had to stay at home to deal with some flooding issues, he lives in SW Wisconsin.
