| What qualities should I look for in a good slip bobber rod? Does anybody have any comment on the Bass Pro Shops "Walleye Series" slip-bobber rod? Pat | |||

![]() Member Posts: 120 Location: Devils Lake, ND | Scheels makes an awesome slip bobber rod. I used it all season on Devils Lake and it has proven its worth. 7'6" great butt section to move fish from a reef or cover, yet a soft enough tip to battle the giants. I know Sheldon Meidinger used them at Mille Lacs this year for the PWT Super Pro and finished 2nd to Seelhof.

Member Posts: 1656 | I'm a fan of the Bass Pro Angler Series rods. The extra length is a huge advantage at picking up the slack on those days when they are fussy and dropping the bait. Plenty forgiving with enough back bone to bring in the biggest fish too.
