| Do any of you ranger owners have suspension wear problems with your bushings and shackle brackets wearing out.I have replaced them twice now was thinking of putting a grease zerk in. |

| I helped Clarenece Bohn replace his in a launch parking lot in Fondy a few years ago during the Merc prefish. There is a lot of pressure on the tandem axle components when turning, especially when turning tight. I think some periodic lubing may help, but not sure. I think you could get some grease in with a needle end for your grease gun. His bushings were shot, and I think the shackles were ready to break. |

| I've had the same problem. I noticed mine were worn during a long fishing trip and had to change them before I went home. I was confident they would break on the highway, if I took the chance of leaving, without changing them.
Since I trailer the boat a lot, I have already bought another set of replacement shackles, bushings, and bolts. The greasable bolts will be used the next time they are replaced. I found them at an off-road supplier.
It's a very common problem with similar trailer applications. If you trailer a lot, I would recommend a quick inspection of your trailers. |
