Will or should the vantage deploy if the boat is on the trailer? Or does it have to be in the water? Just put my new one on and can't get it to go down. Everything else works great. Any information is appreciated.

Also, is the motor/down light supposed to go off. Mine stays on unless I disconnect the battery.

The light will only go off when the motor is in the full up position. I would check to make sure it's completely up before you try to lower it. Also make sure it is getting the 12 Volt supply (yellow wire)...The lift/deploy is powed by 12 volts.

My Vantage 80 is in the shop getting fixed right now. It would not lift out of the down position. Nice motor when it works, but dissapointing that I spent $950 and it only worked for 2 trips.
