Merc Opti 200hp
23p Tempest prop
i'm maxxing out at 5400 rpms when at full throttle and max trim regardless of load in the boat (one or two people, full or empty gas tank, gear or no gear, etc.).
with a loddy-doddy-everybody load i'm running 61mph, with just me and half tank of gas i'm hitting 64mph.
i'd like to get the motor rpms up to the recommended WOT of 5750 and pick up the extra couple mph's that'll come with it.
any suggestions on what prop selections to try?
more/less pitch?
bigger/smaller prop?
different prop style/blades?
also, does anyone know of a good place in south/central WI that i could go to test out a variety of props to see how they perform?
thanks!

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I have yet to play with the 190 but right off I think the small hub trophy will be the prop of choice. probably a 21 or so on that set up. The tempest is a good prop but you need more transom lift to have a balancing act. We have some in stock, give me a call, off on wednesdays, and we can talk about a trial date.

| How high is your engine? I raised mine all the up had a little bit of blow out in rough water and a rooster tail, dropped it one perfect, 5700 rpm on my 1890, when I raised it I gained about 200 rpm from the the second to the lowest position |
