Location: Rhinelander | Temps in the 50's and light winds greeted the anglers this morning as they headed out onto the Bays. Some were concerned the lighter winds would hurt their bite; others were happy with winds out of the Southwest at 5 to 10. A front is forecast to move through this evening and tomorrow, bringing showers and changing winds, but none forecast to be stronger than 15 mph. High temps through the final day are 70's to low 80's. G3/Yamaha/HaberVision Pro Chad Schilling left this morning in the lead, and reasonably confident in his bite holding. many of the Pros are fishing in areas with concentrations of Tournament boats, but most have a plan B in place if the area sops producing. Weigh in activities will begin at 3 PM Eastern time this afternoon, so stay with us for the most detailed, accurate, and entertaining coverage on the web. Location: Rhinelander | The wind picked up to 10 plus this afternoon out of the South, moving some of the biat out and making the walleyes more available, so the afternoon bite definitely picked up. the theme onstage was "Wait until tomorrow, the weights will be WAY up.." At the end of the day, some scrambling occurred in the top twenty, but Pat Byle and Chad Schilling were toe to toe with a hard charging Joshua Vanderweide and Chief Papineau. Tom Keenan held his own today, and is just behind Chief's 34#13oz total. Here's the rest of the Top Ten: 6) Pete Harsh 7) Nick Heelien 8) Lynn Hanisko 9) Jessee Buschel 10) Mark Courts The FLW Walleye Tour 2008 Angler of the Year is Pete Harsh's to win tomorrow with a good weight. He intends to do just that, and says so in the WalleyeFIRST Day Two Big Fish Video. The weather forecast for Friday is pretty flexible at this point, but winds are nor forecast to be 10 to 20 out of the South with possible thunderstorms, exactly what most of the field is hoping for despite the fact 20MPH winds on Bays De Noc can create equipment smashing conditions. One Pro commented that he could see the bottom clearly in 14' of water today. Watch for the Morning report tomorrow at about 8 AM, and for WalleyeFIRST's signature video and live leaderboard coverage to begin at about 2 PM central Time. Copy that.
