Member Posts: 47 Location: El Paso, Illinois 61738 | With record breaking water levels a month ago the River from Henry to Spring Valley is on fire. Was out yesterday (Sunday) and caught fish anywhere from 10 foot to 18 foot. Jig and Minnow or cranks on Lead. Biggest was about 3 pounds even caught some of them walleye 14/15 inchers. The river this morning at LaSalle was 16.4 with a forecast of about 6 inchs a day fall. Current flow was 6,970 cfs perfect for lead and raps. The water clarity was grat 1-1.5 feet and surface temps about 63 degrees. Should be a great fall with the high water this summer. If your interested we are having the fall classic tournament on October 19, 2008 out of Henry. $200.00 a team pay out to 20% of the field. Optional big fish pot of $10.00 Good Luck Bob

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | come on down.... River has plenty of room for everyone. And bob, its like 4 hours for you. Plus with the favorable 2009 MWC schedule the IWT would be a good tune up for you guys.

Member Posts: 580 Location: Green Bay, WI | I don't have an Escort but I was hoping to drive the Kia down there and hop it that glorious G3 of yours. I won't be fishing the MWC, so I don't need a "tune up". I just want a lesson on the river.

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | Anytime bob. You are more than welcome. And of course lou-ee and little nephew, the FLW Stud. Not sure about the lesson though. Maybe where NOT to fish. HA! Edited by Mark Komo 10/16/2008 11:05 AM
