we got the trolling motor down, i'll be ordering that this week... Got my old X-15 for the front...
now I need some input for the dash... mounting a big unit, X-27,37, or bigger on the dash... Ram mount? I'm gonna guess the bigger heavy duty one...
I'll take part #s...
Any pics of sonars mounted on tuffy dashes would be great! thanks!
Can't wait, 16 weeks till ice out!

Here is a pic of my X-190, the dash will be the same and look the same as your 1760. I liked my setup, worked well for me.

I will pop the cover off on mine and snap a pic, but I used a heavy duty ram mount, mounted similar to TJ's

RAM mounts are great, completely adjustable and they allow you to quickly remove your unit to put it in a lockable storage compartment when you're traveling or leaving the boat outside somewhere.

which particular model you need will depend on what sonar/gps unit you get.
look on cabelas or bass pro and they list the units that the mount works with.

i mounted mine on the angled/vertical outer side of the dash in order to create even more room for the unit. i mounted mine using bolts (not screws!) with locknuts and used oversized washers on the inside to make sure it would be very secure because of all the vibration it will experience in a boat.

great info guys, looks like the heavy duty ram is the way to go... Not sure what sonar I'll have yet... got an X-18 that is not long for this world... cruised through ebay yesterday and marked a few big unit for a good price...
Lambeau... like the floormat!
Devoe, why don't you bring that 190 and those big lures to the thousand islands next fall...

Check out an anglers pal multi mount. It features a pinch bolt on both swivel balls. It's far more secure then a Ram.I've had both. There is no comparison.I now have A/Ps on both my 1760s.One with an LCX-25,the other with a 37.Their B/M stabilizer works well, too. The Johnny Ray works well but is a quick release. My insurance co.differenciates between bolted on or not bolted on.Just a thought to ponder.
