| Guys need your help. I am trying to weigh my options of what will fit in my garage. Definatley a swing hitch trailer. Guys got any suggestions that you know will fit.tio |

| Buy the boat you really want and have the Sawzall handy to build a doghouse extension to the back of your garage. I did. Nearly a 2 foot extension just to get her in the garage with a breakaway tongue. I cant say your wife (if applicable) would approve. Mine didnt. But once she got in the baot a couple of times it took the sting out somewhat. All though 19' is fairly short even with a break-away tongue. Best of luck. My garage was 22' now just under 24' sorry i cant help you with the 19'er.

| With only 19', you will only be able to get a 16' boat. I'd look at one of those tent type temporary garages. |

Location: Appleton, WI | I did the dog house extention as well but I was a little more crude, sawzall is over rated I went right for the chain saw. worked great I got a 19 foot lund in a 20 foot garage no problem!! I did a 4 foot extention and didn't even have to break the tounge over!! Just nail in a 2 x 12 header across the entire width of the back wall and cut out what you need below the header.

| How much width does your garage have? Some have been able to get a little bigger boat in the garage simply by angle parking the boat in the garage.
Uses up more space but it gets the job done. Good Luck.

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin | Find a friend with a boat and have him come over and see if it fits. You can do a lot with angle parking the boat in the garage like Jayman said, but there is really no good way to know for sure until you try. Pay attention to how wide the trailer is as well - some older garage doors are pretty narrow for today's wider boats.
I had a 17' boat that JUST fit in my 20' garage by parking it at an angle. |

Location: Appleton, WI | It's additional cost but you could get a storage unit just for your boat. sucks to pay $40-$50 a month but at least you can have that bigger boat you want! |

| Check the Crestliner Fishhawk 1700. I looked at a new one before getting a used 1750, and the length on trailer was right around 19'.

| You might be able to get around the association issues if you do not make the addition go all the way to the floor that would increase sq'ft'. I did this by making it be a 4" step up to the 4x8 addition I needed to add on. My 18.5' Lund needed a full 25' to close the door without swingaway tounge. If your not making any changes to the garage, I think you'll find that even a 16' boat trailer will be tight with a swing away tounge once you add the motor.
