Location: Rhinelander | WalleyeFIRST is conducting WalleyeFIRST radio interviews beginning next week with the top walleye Pros on the planet. Who would you like to hear an interview with, and what topics would you like to hear covered? This will be a regular feature on WalleyeFIRST for the future, and will continue through the summer, but will then be video interviews from events like AIM, FLW Walleye Tour, FLW Walleye League, and more, off the cuff and after the daily fishing and hoopla is over, up close and personal.

Member Posts: 625 Location: LaCrosse, WI | I personally would like to hear an interview with Bill Ortiz or Scott Fairbairn. These are two of my favorites because they are two of the most consistent anglers when you consider they both are usually in the top few gunning for angler of the year in the FLW and PWT. Others are Bob Probst Jr, and maybe Ross Grothe. We’ve heard a lot from Gary and Chase Parsons, Keith Kavajecs, and Tommy Skarlis (all good and deserving interviews, but we’ve heard those many times before). I want to hear more from some of the more quite pros that we don’t necessarily hear from that often.

Agree, how about some new blood in the game and their ideas. Young guys like Crow, Gatzke, Schilling, Przkuret. Always interested in the why's of their decisions and they've all had success at certain times so would be interesting to see what their thought process was.

I spoke with Todd Riley before a PWT event 6 or 8 years ago and he seemed like a first rate person. I'd be interested in hearing a bit more from him. Maybe throw in a PR guy from a large motor or boat manufacturer to discuss the state of things somewhere in there too. Questions show up on the boards from time to time regarding what a guy needs to do gets sponsors and what is expected on each side of those types of agreements.

Maybe take the top 50 list and alternate top & bottom. We would get the perspective of the guy's who have made it, and the guy's trying to climb the ladder. I also agree manufactures and vendors would be interesting.

Location: Rhinelander | I'll get a schedule posted in a few days. We can also do a few industry seminars in the chat room; we do a dozen a year over at MuskieFIRST. Perhaps the industry folks would like that, because you can interact with them during the seminar and ask questions, etc. Interest in that as well?

I would love to hear from some guys that are local on the lakes in Wisconsin. Let's here Axl, Mr. Bluegill, Larry Smith, John Gillespie, and others that know what is going on. These guys are all great guys and you should put them on the air. Axl has his own radio show and it is awesome, I hope you interview him for sure! Troy Peterson is the best guide on the lake for panfish, so you should interview him as well. Laryy Smith is a PRO and is local, so he should be brought in to.

Member Posts: 2445 Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | I would certainly like to hear from guys that you never hear from. The usuals are getting just that, usual. The sport needs to talk to everyone. In the case of AIM all 100. I would like to hear about who they are and where they came from. What circuits they started there carreers in and what there track record was as they performed. I would like to hear about the good and the bad. I dont need to know if they are married or if they have children, that is there personal life. Get a start on a biography of who these top sticks are. Let the fans adhere to a piece of there carreer that they can relate to and you have just created a follower. A fan. A sign waving... well you understand.

Member Posts: 40 | Everyone should get to enjoy the "Tom Keenan Experience" at least one time! I try to see him whenever he's speaking in the area, I'll bet he'd be a great interview. It would only take :45 seconds, he's always going a mile a minute!

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | I think its a swell idea. Hughes would be a good one. Maybe some local winnebago tackle stores, vals, tews two, critters, etc. Maybe a "vintage where are they now" series, with some great sticks from the 70's and 80's.

Member Posts: 538 | I also like the idea of some local guys and guides. Their insights would be interesting and they are fishing the waters we all get to enjoy due to the local. No knock against pro types. I have had many enjoyabel days on the water with them. One of the most surprising and enjoyable was with Mr Walleye himself. Jim O

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | Well, if we are including locals, my first choice would be Chuck Norris followed by Jimmy Hughes and Greg Golliher. Dan and Steve Bodinger would be nice to hear from as well. Ron Goldapske, Leroy Schrader, Creeper and the list goes on. I believe the Winnebago system produces more quality fishermen then any one other location just because of the diversity of patterns available. These are the people I would love to hear from since we fish the same body of water.
