I stopped at BPS today to look at the HDS 5 units. They said they did not have the adapter cable for the Power Drive Universal Sonar cable to the HDS 5 unit. Does anyone know where to get the adapter cable???

I'm going to guess at this time, the cable for the HDS units is not available. Nothing on the Cabelas web site either.

That's what I am hearing.
Another note the HDS units can't load/read the Navionics Chips.

first off, do you want US or US2? cable are different... I was at a gander mtn. last weekend and they had both... any LCX cable should fit the HDS...
If HDS can not read navionics cards then the earth will stop rotating...

For clarification, the video above was posted again because Chris clearly says why the Navionics chips aren't working at this time. Navionics is in the process of writing the software and the update will be available April 13th from what Chris said in the video.

So, to answer your question, yes, the Navionics chips will work once they get the update posted on the Lowrance web site.
