Member Posts: 650 | Was thinking of starting a walleye club here in NY... was wondering if FLW gives any support to clubs such as they do through the TBF... Insurance wise etc... was also thinking of piggybacking it with a bass/walleye club deal to slide it by... Any thoughts, observations, suggestions would be super...

Member Posts: 319 | If you were thinking on piggybacking it with a bass club give Tom Presnell a call, he is one of the heads for the NY B.A.S.S. club and the editor of Fishlines Magazine. He may be able to help or give good direction/advise. His number is 973-261-0559. Tell him the cartoonist for Moose Lake sent ya.

Member Posts: 8 | Call Sonny Reynolds at the FLW, he can at least get you in touch with the right person from the FLW to help you with this. His office number is 270-252-1591. If he's not in the office, just leave a message with your name/number and he will call you back asap. Juls

Member Posts: 650 | Juls, thanks for the info... I got him in my contact book... Had a bunch of beers last night with a fishing bud and webmaster... talked at length on the startup deal... we got our website ready to go for my walleye deal and his bass deal... we both agreed that were gonna wait till nov. and then start up... everybody is already commited for this season already... I've always like FLW and would really like to have this be a part of it... thanks again... Mark, thanks for the info... erie is a long ways off for me... checked the orgs though... never heard of the ny walleye assoc... I do know of a few Walleye clubs and trails in that part of the state (western ny) Also some in western PA... none of them were listed on that... For anybody wondering... you guys in the walleye belt from what I read have quite a few walleye orgs to choose from... me in central NY have none... Maybe that will change next year...
