Member Posts: 67 | Here she is the new 2060, took it out today on the maiden voyage and it rode like a dream. I was really impressed with the ride and there was a major difference compared to my 2006. Thanks again to Steve and the crew at Tuffy for turning this bad boy around in less than 3 weeks and thanks again to Bob and his staff at Mr. Marine as well for rigging and getting all the electronics transfered over. Member Posts: 650 | pretty amazing looking... the room in that without the rear deck is awesome! Whats that sonar you got hiding under there? Interesting for me to note, from all the boats you guy post here, no kicker on this one... the consoles look nice without the DW windshields... very impressive ride, I can see me drunk asleep on that big floor in my backyard already... moreyes don't need no purple, he's looking for hooters orange and white...

What's the difference between the '09 and the '06 as far as the ride goes? Are they not the same hull, except maybe for the transoms?

Member Posts: 67 | Scott, To me there is a huge difference in the ride between the two years, the new one seems to cut the waves a bit better. Both my dad and my girlfriend agree that there is a huge difference in the ride between the two. They both say it is a much smoother ride. Been out every day this week prefishing for the Merc and had different water conditions everyday this week with the wind and I must say I am really glad I upgraded to the new model for me worth the investment. Good luck to everyone fishing the Merc this weekend. Larry

I could be wrong but wasnt 2006 the year that a big change occured on the 2060? Larry you and i had the same year boat but they were different including hull/console litttle things also? So what larry has now is the same as the end of the year models 2006 .

Member Posts: 67 | You are exactly right the boats built at the end of 2005 and begining of 2006 had the old design. 2007 was the year of the major change with the hull design if I remember right. There is a lot more leg room because of the newer councels and the lay out of the boat. I opted to keep the old transom width which shortens up the inside a bit but for what we do it is great. Member Posts: 650 | eyekatcher, check all your seats, I bet you got a garage full with that boat, you should have another gas shock one to go on that passsenger side... you got one on the driver side, I bet the other is one you don't have installed...

Member Posts: 3899 | Nice ride, Larry. The Tuffy's come with one SRS seat, and three normal seats. The SRS is a spring suspension seat, and is really all that is needed in these boats. A 2nd SRS seat for the passenger would be nice, for them! hehehe The transoms went all composite some time ago in the 1990. I believe all 2060's have composite transoms.

Location: Rhinelander | Shep's correct, all 2060 models have the composite transom Tuffy developed several years ago as the engines on the deep V walleye rigs kept getting larger and heavier; strong and totally rot free.
