Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | One hundred and six pros and co-anglers took to the waters of Lake Winnebago for the fourth and final regular season FLW event of 2009. This fourth event is a critical one because by the end of Day four on Saturday, the championship field will be determined and the top 50 pros and co-anglers will be headed to Bismarck, ND for the FLW Championship Sept. 30-Oct. 3. Lake Winnebago will also play host in deciding who will claim the Land'o Lakes Angler of the Year title. Currently, Lund Pro Ted Takasaki is leading the pack with 437 points. Hot on his heals and sitting in second however is Lake Erie winner Pat Byle of Colgate, WI., with 427 points, following him is Chris Gilman of Chisago, Minn., 408 points, Brian Bjorkman of Fargo, ND., 390 and Scott Steil of Richmond, Minn., 388 points to round out the top five. The consensus among the anglers that WalleyeFIRST talked with this morning was quite mixed in regards to the bite. Some had some decent days during practice and other days they struggled. All the anglers said how tremendously diverse Lake Winnebago is and being able to adapt and switch tactics on a moments notice will be key. Stay tuned for a full image gallery, interviews and WalleyeFIRST's signature Live Leaderboard starting tomorrow around 3pm. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | There was no Live Leaderboard today, we had other commitments with a Live Stream from the Icast show and we just couldn't do both. We will have a Live Leaderboard for the remainder of the tournament. Weigh-in starts at 3pm so you can catch the constant updates on the Leaderboard.

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Forestville, WI. Pro Pat Neu went to work this morning kinda unsure if his fish were going to go or not but with winds 20-30mph out of the WNW he was able to boat his five fish limit that totaled 17.09lbs. to put him in first place. Neu said his fish are wind dependent and may or may not be there tomorrow if the water were to clear or the wind would die. The 106 boats that left Pioneer Resort Marina at the mouth of Lake Winnebago all seemed to be unsure what the fish were going to do today but all the anglers said on stage today they had to run a lot to put the fish they got in the box. Sitting in second place is Brian Deffner of Eland, WI with a five fish limit that totaled 16.01lbs. Mr. Deffner was very pleased with his weight and is going to go out tomorrow and give it his all and hope to be near the top when the day is done. Third place is veteran pro Rick Olson of Mina, ND with a day one weight of 15.13lbs. Fourth place is Tom Hoinacki with a weight of 13.03lbs. and Scott Steil of Richmond, MN. came to the scales with a fifth place limit that totaled 13.00lbs. Weather for day two looks to stay pretty consistent but with gusty winds diminishing a little this evening but are still forecasted to reach 15-25 by mid day tomorrow. The Live Leaderboard will be starting around 3pm tomorrow afternoon. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 96 Location: DeForest, WI | Does anyone know the story about Swanstrom? He was in 47 place heading into this event, and just needed to keep track with the leaders to quailify for the Championship. I also see some other guys not fishing and it has a big total of guys fishing. That's Bago guys for you though. Later-
