Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Day two of the final FLW regular season event of the year dawned with high skies and light winds out of the WNW at 10mph, a perfect walleye chop as most anglers put it this morning during morning interviews with WalleyeFIRST. Toyota Pro Pat Neu said he had what many would call a "dream day" yesterday and said he was lucky with how his fish came in order. He was going to go out today and try and do the same thing as yesterday and hoping that conditions won't change too much that it would change his program. Brian Deffner said he had his weight by 9:30am yesterday morning and his fish have been in the area for now a couple weeks. He also said that he feels the wind won't affect them but is a bit worried about what a cold front may do to them. Deffner felt that if he can go out and execute his plan and does it mistake free, he'll be alright. Pro Rick Olson said he too had a great day yesterday with a very nice kicker fish that measured 28 inches and really helped put him up there. Olson said he'd be happy with 10lbs. and felt that would keep him where he'll need to be on Saturday. Stay tuned for the Live Leaderboard starting at 3pm! Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | The local boys are doing well indeed. If I had to guess, Jimmy Hughes and Pat Neu are the guys I'd watch closely. Jimmy moved up from 9th to 2nd, he's definitely going to be a threat if he can hang in there tomorrow.

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | Jimmy is gonna be very tough to beat. He has been in this situation in so many tournaments the last two years. He knows how to win. Looking at his photos it looked like he had all nice fish unlike some others in the top ten that had one huge one. Good luck Jim, we are all rooting for you!

Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Local pro Jeff Nuechterlein of Fremont, WI. came to the scales with a 14 pound, 15 ounce bag to add to his day one catch of 11 pounds, 9 ounces, giving him a total weight of 26 pounds, 8 ounces for the first two days of the fourth and final FLW regular season event. Making a move to salitify his spot on Saturday is another local pro Jimmy Hughes. Mr. Hughes is about as hot as hot can get, coming off his 2008 FLW League Championship at Winona, MN last September showed his local knowledge with another solid weight of 14 pounds, 11 ounces, giving him a two day weight of 26 pounds, 3 ounces. Tom Hoinacki moved up one spot from fourth to third place with a total weight of 26 pounds, 2 ounces. Sitting in second place after day one, Brian Deffner fell to fourth place with a weight of 25 pounds even. Rick Olson rounds out the top five with a total weight of 24 pounds, 11 ounces. Other notable moves on day two were Tom Brunz of Madison Lake, Minn. jumped from 50th place to ninth with a box weighing 15 pounds, 8 ounces, heaviest day two catch among anglers. Scott Steil fell from fifth place to 38th while Matthew Jacobson went from sixth to 45th. Weather for tomorrow looks to change things with only a high of 61 and winds NW at 10-20mph.
