I am receiving this error on my 111. How can one tell if it is the antenna or a power problem? Any help I tried lowrance for several hours on friday and was put on hold

There's no signal comming back from the puck, so I would check for power going into the puck. If there's power going in, then you have a bad puck. If there's no power going in, check for blown fuses, bad wires etc...

Member Posts: 13 | I just had the same problem with my LCX27 last week. I unplugged the antenna and plugged it back in and the error went away. Maybe you have a loose cinnection somewhere?

Member Posts: 58 | I've also had this problem twice this year on my LCX38. What is strange is that my LMS520 on the bow and the LCX38 are networked together, both reading off the same puck, and the 520 still works fine when the X38 is not responding. Although, both times its happened after about 10 - 15 min it started responding again. Also both times were flat calm days while trolling. Any ideas? Kregs

Member Posts: 650 | Really take as look at your connection... those twisty things on the back are a pain.... never liked them, even on my HDS... look close at the little pins... Voltage may be a little low too... check age of battery and clean connections... my buddy had corrosion on his fuse screwed up everything...

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | I had the same problem a couple years ago. I know it's a pain trying to find what is causing this. However, I got lucky and found out by dumb luck that a butt splice was installed wrong (too much crimp) and severed a few strands of the conductor. After a few poundings during tournaments on the bay, it really loosened up and I ended up finding the loose connection. Replaced the butt splice and never had the problem again.

Member Posts: 6 | The week of July 18-July 25, I heard of a few guys up where I was in Minnesota having problems with there units responding. I have a hand held that would not work properly every once in awhile during that period up there. Works fine now at home. Might not be related but I figured I'd post.

How far away do you have your puck from the unit? There should be a minimum of 2 feet. I made this mistake with my first GPS unit and had issues with the unit working spuratically.

Does this mean my puck is going bad? That is the same thing that mine did. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and it has worked ever since. Maybe just a bad connection.
