bradley894 - 8/17/2009 1:32 PM You think im kidding? I think im going to start a new cercuit! Maybe a tiller only league maximum length tip to transum 17 ft by the tape measure. and a maximum hp rating of 50! A poor mans league and it will be sundays! entry will be 100 dollars and it will be coolers with ice only! catch and eat! No culling and a ten fish per two man team limmit! We will be going out of cheep lakeside camping or cottage resorts and in places that have a protective river system near by so there will be no blow days. looking for heavy hitter back trollers and slip bobber speacialist and others rigged for catching fish. Time to build a Rig as we will feature monthly a check out this tournament rig addition in our by monthly news letter and on the web. Go out and find that sweet 14 or 16 foot deep v boys and start getting that old rusty trailer cleaned up and painted. tighten up those rivets and pain that old boat! lay in some deck and carpet and get that old tiller set up with an eagle magna 3 plus or 350A! hell i may even put an age restriction on the boat packages and say you can run anythin newer than 10 years old! Then go out and get yourself an old 2 wheel drive s-10 or better yet a conversion van to sleep in! im thinking campgrounds for our take off and weigh in sights! heck we can pull these rigs with a 4 cylender that gets 30 to the gallon! no more 40 50 or 60 mile runs into the great lakes. Are you reading this River Rats? I think im gonna do it! where do i send in for my permits? Now that is a tourny I would help sponsor

oh i can see in now! Rules meeting saturday nights in the local pub or around a camp fire, big noumber 10 cans of porknbeans bubblin along with fresh corn on the cob! Johnsonvilles and BBQ pork sandwiches all you can eat on a heavly buttered hard rolls! or Bring your own steaks and throw them on the massive fire and take a seat on that cooler full of your favorite beer! a spare old 1979 8 hp tiller in the back of the truck in case your main tiller breaks down... good times for sure. now we need some locations. Im thinking start early Late March in Nekusa below the petonwell dam.... thinking maybe 5 events and only count your top 4 finnishes for the points race. Nice little campground just south of oshkosh with launch along the shores of lake Winnibago just inside of longpoint9 im thinking early may as the fish roll out of the river in oshkosh and are all over those rock points.... mmmmmm spose we could bring the turky fryer and do up the saturday pre-fishing catch and find out who is on fish by how good there eating... lotsa spots .... petonwell has a big campground on both sides ... heck lotsa locations.

Rich are you thinking of a Base as a launch and camping or resort option? or a World headquarters for the PMWT (poor mans walley tour?) or should it be called PTWT ? Profecional Tiller walleye tour? or the WSSWT Wisconsin Short Shaft walleye Tour? or the oh crap !!! i just thaught of someting!!!!!!!!! Call your Congressman and stop this Cash for Clunkers deal before they crush all of our perfectly good tow vehicals! Do you realize that the chevy Blazer is like noumber one on the crush list? This aint good! And though im being a little silly here i do think something like this would not only fly but be fun as heck! and im thinking a team could be competitive and spend about 150.00 per man for the weekend. 100 entry and 200 expenses. gas bait food and all.. maybe less if your an expert at crawlering for bait., maybe your a bit more conservitive and go with PB&J's instead of steak..maybe if the walleye bite is tuff your willing to eat a sheephead saturday night. if your tow vehical is a Geo Prizm rated at 35 mpg or we can get a good discount or share sites at the campground or resort. heck some teams may be able to pull this off for 100 bucks a man! + beer...

Member Posts: 3899 | guest - 8/17/2009 12:08 PM Shep not sure where you get ford #1 for 32 straight years but you stated it before and i disagree 100% and so do that facts that ford is not #1.! Ford trucks is a different story they have been the #1. Toyato, honda and bmw have all been top 3 for auto for awhile! I was talking trucks, but what the heck. BMW in the top 3? Maybe in Germany, but even there, I don't think so. And Ford F Series is #1 in US sales of all vehicles, again this year. Seems to me, that has been the case for the last 10 or so years.

Member Posts: 794 Location: Elgin, Illinois | Might be some truth/wisdom to the thought that just maybe Genmar owes BRP more than BRP owes Genmar/FLW. Something about spending good money after bad might apply... I seriously doubt that any press release by either side tells the whole story. Edited by hgmeyer 8/20/2009 10:42 PM

BRP and genmar... ugly... nothing good will come from this... all them guys who bought etecs... I too bought one a ways back... 2 blown powerheads 2 lower units and a broken mid section... bad service... end of BRP for me... went black with the tuffy... 26 hours on it... been down twice already... I hate outboard motors... been thinking Suzuki for the next boat...

Member Posts: 591 Location: in the boat off the east shore somewhere | ya ice man i am thinking about it. anyway as it stands with big outboard problems. The issue is weather the manufactures avoid bringing it up the laws partaining to emitions and clean running motors have pushed them too hard. Motors are running too thin! they are producing 4 stroke with 3 times the working parts of the older generation. Two stroke motors with some kind of DSI are running clean as heck. the problem with these new emitions standards combined witht the inconsistant fuel and heat produced when burning Ethinal and the fact that water can now be diluted into the fuel blend because of Ethinal is hard on the motors. Water doesnt mix with Gas but it does mix with alcahol , the water just drips out of my Yukon these days so im guessing the fuel is watered down a bit more now that it can be absorbed the the ethinal. I dont hear of too many problems with the outboards anymore Warrente coverage is a large part of the outboards cost of perchase it seems. the only guys i know of with consistant problems with there big outboards of any brand are guys who cant seem to keep the prop in the water. though you can get a bad outboard the massive hp of these things when there is no water resistance at the prop in ruff seas will take a part a motor in no time. Do you realize how high your rpms can go up under even half throttle when the prop comes partly out of the water? The fact that the cost or replacement of your outboard can be as much as the price of a used 2000 year class 18 or 19 foot walleye boat is an issue if your not under warrente. This is a big boy toy and if you cant affort to fix it or break it you better take it easy on it. or buy something a bit older with a good history and spend your money on a little more fuel. I would never be the one giving a guy crap about ...When are you gonna get a new boat? i dont care if the guy is fishing on the FLW in a 1996 lund with a 150 efi mariner with the older square coul. if its been a good reliable package then run it! The big show is getting to spendy unless you can afford to upgrade every couple of years and stay under warrente.
