Location: Manitowoc, WI | Most guys use old ones and customize them to their liking. I have a bunch I was about to list here for sale. If you are interested send me an email at [email protected] and we can work something out. |

Location: Lincoln Park, Mi | No Shad Rap blanks to be had anywhere. I look for clearance specials and grab what I can for future use. Unfortunately, the days of finding them for $1.99 on clearance are gone. Best I usually do now is get discontinued ones from Gander for about $4 when they have them. |

| Has anyone used the deep shad from the Do It link posted above? Any feedback? I ordered 5 and so far they swim great. I am thinking about investing in an air gun and am going to start painting. |

You might try Barlows Tackle out of Richardson Tx. do a Google search. |

| Those are the same baits. Jann's Necraft also carries them.
Does anyone know if they are any good? |

Location: Lincoln Park, Mi | They're OK. The hook hangers/eyelets are cheap metal and bend easily, so they get knocked out of tune quite often. You'll get some leakers occasionally too. Stock paint jobs are garbage that peel easily. The unpainted blanks make good canvases for custom painting though. |

| They ran true right out of the package, a very good mimic of a shad rap. For a buck a piece I can handle a few leakers. I am going to invest in an air brush and start painting.
This is the second blank lure I have tried, and the first manufacturer didn't work out. |

Location: Lincoln Park, Mi | The minnow baits on that link or at Janns are an excellent cold water pike and walleye lure and one you might want to get also. Pretty unique flopping side to side action, and run very true for the action when you get them tuned in. I troll and cast them in shallows for eyes and pike.
