The teams WalleyeFIRST talked with this morning all felt very confident going into today with what they saw during practice. Some teams reported going through double digits of fish with quality being pretty common. Todd Robinson felt the team that can put 36+ pounds a day will have a solid chance of taking home the win tomorrow. The forecast today in the Trenton area is for a high of 48 degrees with cloud cover and winds 15-20mph out of the NW. WalleyeFIRST Tournament coverage brought to you by Lund Boats! Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Twenty-seven teams came to the scales with 30+ pounds of walleyes this afternoon; the bite was definitely on for the first stop on the MWC East division. The team of Dan Johnson and Larry Rhoads of Ohio brought in a five fish limit that weighed 38.99 pounds to take the Day One lead at the Trenton MWC. Steve Bodinger and Dan Bodinger of Chilton, WI brought in 38.93 pounds to hold down the second place spot Less than a a tenth of pound out going into Day Two. One angler summed up his time on the water saying he went from getting sunburned during practice to what felt like frost bite this afternoon. The fish were biting and being caught just about any way you preferred to fish. The top ten: 1. Team Johnson/Rhoads-38.99 2. Team Bodinger/Bodinger-38.93 3. Team Lemke/Orailly-37.58 4. Team Devine/Velte-36.35 5. Team Leach/Szoke-34.44 6. Team Nordyke/Nordyke-34.31 7. Team Devos/Morris-34.02 8. Team Zart/Zart-33.87 9. Team Kopcok/Kopcok-33.51 10. Team Loll/Horen-32.89 Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
