The wind is absolutely howling under clear skies with temps in the low 50's, and the bite, not surprisingly, has been reported to be a bit tough.

75 boats will be weighing in beginning at 1 PM, webcast live at:
http://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/webcast.asp

The live Fort Fremont Classic feed will begin at 12:55. Join us for the weigh in on the Wolf!

Winning weight was 9.44lbs. About half the field zeroed. Lots of shorties, not many fish to weigh.

Team Miller/Miller brought 9.45 pounds the the scale to take the win at the 10th Annual Fort Fremont Marine Walleye Classic. The bite was tough overall, with winds gusting to 30 mph and the fish on the move.

In second were Team Ziemba/Duxbury with 9 pounds even. Third was Team Harrison/McDonald with 8.9 pounds, fourth Team Buttke/Koser weighing 5.32, and 5th Gustke and Monacelli weighing 5.07. Team Gustke and Monacelli also took home the Champion of Champions Crown beating 6 other teams who had placed First in past Classic events.

Team Niemczyk/Paulson took big fish honors with a 3.22 pound Walleye.

Shep cooked over 400 brats provided by Tuffy Boats, and all were gone before the weigh in was complete.

Yep, I see shep and mcguire talking brat strategy. Very nice. Great tourn-out.

Komo, The crowd for the weigh in was actually very impressive, lots of interest in the event.

An incredibly unobservant guest earlier saw the images I took when I got to Fort Fremont Marine this morning, and posted 'Nice crowd'.

The reason Shep was cooking that early is because it takes a long time to cook 400 brats on one grill. Good thing I got one early, they were gone long before we were done with the weigh in.

This was a fun event to attend. Everyone seemed to be having a really good time, and that's the goal, I think.

I know the year is still early, but right now the MVP voting commitee has Shep as an early favorite for his uncanny ability to cook brats? This is an award that is heralded across the world, and he should be honored that we as a team have selected him. Does anyone else like to second the motion?

.. more boats than the FLW on Erie. I heard they could have had 100 or more but capped the field at 75. Pretty impressive when most tournaments are struggling to get enough boats to even run an event. Good job Denny!

Have fished the Fort Fremont tournament for many years and have always enjoyed the fine job that all the sponsors, organizers/workers do. This year the live weigh in was a great addition. However, I have never seen places 6 thru 75 listed anywhere. I would think that all those that fished, myself included, would like to see where they ranked. Wouldn't it be an easy addition during the weigh in? If this info is out there somewhere, please let me know where.

Sorry for the long wait on the numbers.

If you go to www.fortfremont.com you will find the final stats.

I would like to thank everyone who helped us out this year, including Gassers and Biermanns and Shep, Mud duck and Eyelunker. Sworrall and Walleye first for the on the spot coverage with over and above the wow factor. Tuffy Boats for all the brats and the Sheboygan walleye club and Mercury...... and most of all.....

THE FANS!!! Without you this would have not been the same.

We will be back bigger and badder for you next year.

I took the liberty of re-formatting Denny's spreadsheet in order. If I did it right there were 36 teams that weighed 74 fish for a total eight of 122.28lbs. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone in the process.

thanks for the good time Denny.
