Brother calls at 9:30am this morning. I pick him and his boat up at 10:00am. Launch at DNR ramp, only about 15 rigs in lot. Run down past Finn road, 4 boats trolling there in 5 FOW. Decide to keep going to Sundays hot spot. Set down near and just West of our Plumb Island spot. Set lines at 10:23am. Make one pass through spot and back. Land 12 walleyes, lose 2. Catch another big smallie and a giant shad. Pull lines at 11:30am. Back home by 12:10pm. Life is good.

I also forgot to mention we had 2 doubles and brother Dave caught those 2 walleyes in the bottom picture at the same time on that same lure shown. Ya, the action was that hot for a while. They must have been feeding there like crazy in that pocket area we fished.

It doesn't get much better than that. I one time had two 17" Saugers on one Jigging Rapala. One on each end. That was one of my most memorable catches to date.

I wish I could say the same. The most memorable thing I caught came from Tiawana...

Actually, the brother snagged this thing in the dorsal fin and played it almost 10 minutes before we landed it. And it was huge, maybe 3 pounds. I wanted to take a picture of it, but Dave was a little pissed about playing it for so long and whipped it overboard before I could snap a picture.

Ran a 2 person charter this morning. Launched at Finn road at 8:45am. Brother Dave was already downshore in our spot and had been trolling there for over an hour without a hit. Armed with that news, I decided the long haul downshore in the WIND and WAVES that were FAST building wasn't in mine or my clients best interest. Started trolling as soon as we hit 5 FOW. Boxed out and back home by 11:45.
