Member Posts: 121 | Team Rick Bryson and Galen Bremmer WIN $1,240.00 at the MMWS Genoa tournament with a whopping 19.67# limit of Pool 8 and 9 trolled up walleyes. This included a solid 6.83# kicker taking BIG FISH honors too! Team Mark Boardman and Gary Beck took took 2nd taking home $515.00 and Phil Weigel and Adam Woodhouse took third with a winnings of $225.00. Most teams trolled three-way stickbait combinations to secure their fish. Targeted areas near Victory, Wi produced many of the post-spawn walleyes. Team, #of fish, big fish weight, total weight for event Bryson/ Bremmer 4, 6.83, 19.67 1st Place and Big Walleye for event Boardman/ Beck 4, 2.15, 7.50 2nd Place Weigel/ Woodhouse 2, 5.10, 6.39 3rd Place Beck/ Brye 2, 3.15, 5.28 4th Place Young/ Hass 2, 2.64, 5.07 5th Place Kersting/ Dittman 2, 2.13, 4.38 6th Place Washa/ Patterson 2, 2.96, 4.10 7th Place Christianson/ Olson 2, -, 2.64 8th Place Strangstalien/ Tauscher 2, -, 2.09 9th Place Thill/ Litsheim 1,-, 1.50 10th Place Kramer/ Erickson 1,-, 1.44 11th Place Conditions were perfect with a little wind and highs in the upper 60's. A special thanks goes out to all who competed in this event and the community of Genoa for their warm hospitality. Next event is Sunday, May 16th on Pools 7 & 8 out of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. We will be launching out of the 7th street landing and anticipate a strong wingdam bite as fish should be transititioning into their summer patterns.
