I am helping a guy make a new weedless/timber jig. My problem with weedless jigs is the hook-up percentage. Rob and I have played with a few ideas and have come up with a real winner. It should be ready in a few weeks and will be different then anything out there. This jig should give you the best hook-up percentage while still remaining weedless. We get nothing from this other then a great jig and that is why I am passing along the info here. I will let you know where you can get them when he is done and post pics. I am not sure what he is going to charge but from the sounds of it they will be noticeably cheaper then most of what is out there.

Here are a couple if the features of the 1/8oz :

-size 1, 1/0, 2/0 or 3/0 Chemically sharpened black nickel hook either aberdeen or forged (you pick the size and type!)

-small stand-up style head

-very light fiber weedguard you can customize by trimming down the numbers of fibers (8 fibers per guard).

-wire bait keeper on the top side of the hook so it does not snag zebra muscles.

As you can see there is a big variety just in the 1/8oz size alone. These will come in standard colors. There also is a good size gap in between the weedguard and the tip of the hook. I am sure you can custom order colors as well. Like I said, we get no kickbacks from him. We are just happy he went through the trouble of doing this. I will give you more details as I get them.

What do you all think?

Gold and red hooks are big sellers in the walleye world too. Blend that with the multi-hook sizes available above will be fish catching cool!!!
