Figured I'd ask the experts. What do I need to have in my 16 ft boat to be legal on Lake MI? I'm guessing flares for sure, do I need a radio? Thanks for any insight.

You can call the Coast Guard for this answer at 920-743-4640. They have a checklist they will go over. The list includes: flares that are inside the expiration date, marine fire extinguisher, horn or whistle, proper classification of life jacket/floatation, a throwable floatation, and proper running lights.
