Location: Rhinelander | The weather today isn't as much a factor as many thought it would be; the front that is bringing big winds is still West far enough and the big winds in advance of the front went through last night. Skies are cloudy with occasional light rain, and the winds are light. Robert Blosser said in an AIM interview this morning he is going to go out today and grind it out, and that patience is the key right now. Joe Okada was optimistic, and wants to at least hold position for a top 5 and a possible top 5 JJ Keller Fishing Team AOY finish. He's pulling live bait, and has a few NW wind spots picked out. Neither thought the forecast big winds for tomorrow will force a cancellation of day three; most of the pre-fish was in similar winds, just from South instead of North West. Blosser said of the big winds for tomorrow: " Bring it on!" Winds are out of the South West at ten now, and should hold for the rest of the event. Westerly winds 20 to 30 MPH and afternoon showers are on tap for tomorrow, so techniques will be limited and the field buffeted about on Winnie. Mike Gofron holds the lead, Robert Blosser leads the JJ keller Fishing Team Angler of the year race, and Sanchez and Roehl took the Sanctioned Series win.
