The Illinois Walleye Trail conducted its 2nd Tournament of the 2011 season on Sunday November 7, 2010 in Rapids City, Illinois on the Mississippi River. The teams found the water conditions were spotty with the river coming up 2 feet that week and a lot of grass coming down from up north. The key appeared to be finding some back eddies with cleaner water. A total of 101 fish was brought to scales with 12, six fish limits.

Placing first was the team of Steve Lotz from Lena, Illinois and Dave Daughenbaugh from McConnell, Illinois with a 6 fish limit scaling 13.42 pounds earning $1,450.00. Steve and David found there fish up by the Clinton Dam on wing dams. The second place team of Frank Zator from Manhattan, Illinois and Barry O’Flynn with only a pound out of first place with a 6 fish limit weighing 12.42 pounds and a check for $975.00. Frank and Barry was hand lining upstream from Rapids City. The 3rd place team with 12.08 pounds won $600.00 from the tournament and also big fish honors with a 3.16 pound . This paid John Smith from Monouth, Illinois and Doc Hall from Tonica, Illinois $600.00 and the an additional $230.00 for big fish..

Robert Jones from Berwyn, Illinois and Scott Anzulas from Homer Glen, Illinois captured fourth place with 10.19 pounds earning $450.00. Also as part of the Lund contingency Grass Roots fishing tournament, compliments of Hennepin Marine, as the first Lund Boat in the standing they earned an additional $500.00. Max Actis and Mike Stuckert received the $100.00 Gift Certificate compliments of Hennepin Marine as the first Lund boat out of the money.
