| At the end of the session last year i purchased a new hummingbird unit with sidefinder . I really like the unit however i did do a very good job mounting the transducer actually its horrable . When im at full power the spray from the transducer is about 2 or 3 feet straight up. The transducer was measured per hummingbirds direction . I mounted on my lund 18PROV on time opposite side of my kicker and it is even with the hull. Any advise or PHOTOS would be GREATLY appreciated .

| Slide it up slightly to see if the spray goes away and you still get a decent reading |

| The first thing ii did was to slide the transducer up but without any success . Any other ideas ? I wish i had taken some pics of the mount placement . Also i mounted the transducer directly to the hull . Like an idiot and will be useing a plate this spring to remount the transducer . Also any ideas on what to use to seal the holes.
thanks ,

| A picture sure would help to determine the best place to mount the transducer, as well as to what is the problem of where it is now. You can use many different things to seal the holes but whatever you do use make sure that the holes are completely dry before attempting to seal them. You can use fiberglass repair, two part epoxy, 3M 5200 anything that will harden completely. Don't use silicone it will eventually pull out. |
