Member Posts: 499 Location: Appleton | APPLETON: The Midwest Walleye Series (MWS) will have their second tournament of the 2011 season in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Sunday June 5, 2011 and will include fishing the entire Winnebago System. There will be registration and rules meeting held at TRS The Reel Shot, 2755 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh. WI 54901. Registration is 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the rules meeting at 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Teams must be off the water by 5:00 PM Saturday June 4, 2011. New teams must be signed up by 5:00 PM Tournament hours will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. The entire Winnebago System is open to fishing. Each team can weigh five walleyes no saugers. The weigh in will be at Menominee Park Oshkosh The top twenty five teams of the series will fish the championship tournament and attend the championship banquet. There will be no entry fee for the qualifiers. This years Championship will be September 17, 2011 fishing the Bay of Green Bay Menominee, MI. The MWS circuit is a professional, competitive, and affordable fishing opportunity. Results are posted on our website www.fishtfm.com as well as other web sites. Walleye First will be covering all 2011 tournaments. Also, the Midwest Outdoors Magazine covers the tournament results. A subscription to the Midwest Outdoors Magazine in included with the MWS membership. The MWS is run by Fishermen for Fishermen. The major sponsors for the Midwest Walleye Series are Ranger Boats, Mercury Marine, Motorguide and Mills Fleet Farm. Tournament Sponsors are TRS The Reel Shot, Smooth Move Seats Mounts, and Lindahl LTD Supporting sponsors include Anglers Pride Specialties, All Sport Trophy, Envisionink Printing, Intruder Products, Jack’s Jigs, Drop-n-Stay, Marine General, MW Marine, and Midwest Outdoors Magazine. There are still openings in this tournament. We will take entries up to the 5:00 PM Saturday June 4, 2011. However entries postmarked or taken after Saturday May 28, 2011 will be charged a processing fee. Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | Historically it takes around 17lbs to win that time of year. With the amount of feed in this system right now I would say 15-17lbs with good weather. | ||

I always think about those stats too rich. Which is why i had a seizure last year in the mws when i had nearly 32lbs on gb at 8:15AM.. My second seizure occured when 10 other teams brought in 32lbs+ haha...... Oh well :P Should be a great tourney if the fish hold on the rocks! But I heard earlier in the week people were catching fish in the mud. Nearly June and GB still is still dipping under 50F and people are catching fish in the mud of winnebago.. talk about a crazy year. Edited by budsbud66 5/28/2011 11:18 AM | ||

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | I am going to go with 14.56lbs to win. Conditions will be the best we have seen all year but the amount of feed will still keep the weight down a little. | ||
