| Unfortunately have developed an allergy to crawlers after handling them regularly for 20+ years. Am wondering if any of you have had success trolling harnesses with the 7" PowerBait crawler imitations? Was going to give it a shot this weekend on a large inland lake with a decent walleye population under 24". Any advice/experience would be appreciated. Thanks! | |||

Location: Rhinelander | I have seen the artificial crawlers work, and pretty well, too.

Member Posts: 300 Location: Lincoln Park, Mi | They work OK for me, but nowhere near as good as Gulp crawlers. Pumpkin seed seems to come as close to, or outproduce regular crawlers for me. Just depends on the day.

| Please..... Allergic to crawlers... this is just another attack on the National Crawler Association. We have heard it all before “Gulp works just as well as crawlers" or "I had 3 fish over 10lbs". The NCA has been through these kinds of attacks for years and will continue to fight for the right to catch and use the only "real bait"... crawlers. Take a kid crawlering! President of the NCA | |||

Member Posts: 397 Location: Badgerland | I concur with the Pumpkin Gulp. And I don't kno about Jerry's rusted up spring style Berkley scale being certified or not. Edited by 620 6/8/2011 8:44 PM

Member Posts: 650 | I wouldn't be afraid to try a 7" power worm either. great way to try some different colors for something new. The new thumper worm looks good too.
