Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Well, we were promised this a few years back and now it's finally here. There is more info coming from this 1 bouy then a man could ever expect about the Saginaw Bay weather, waves, water temps and conditions. This is a link of a life time IMV and anybody that fishes or plans on fishing the Bay should keep this link in their files.
Saginaw Bay Mariners...
Dear Dan:
Greetings from NOAA National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac.
This is just a short note to pass along news of a new buoy installation on Saginaw Bay that measures wave height among many other parameters. The equipment is operated by NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory, located in Ann Arbor. Here is the link to the buoy web page:

The table of data is self explanatory but I would like to point out the link to the top right of the table. This opens a page that displays a time series of the data during the previous 7 days.
I would also like to take this opportunity to solicit feedback on our marine forecast information so far this year. Please reply with any comments that you may have. Thanks...
Sincerely,
Bryan Tilley
