Jumped in my truck and we were in my brothers driveway at 7:30am. Set lines at a little after 8:00am and started fishing the usual spots the usual way. Because of the very strong SSW winds, we decided to fish on the east side of the channel and closer to shore today and started between the Island and the Hot Ponds. Two passes and nothing. Suggested to the brother we continue down shore and try our Plumb Island spot. So with little to loose we kept trolling East down shore and towards those numbers we did so good in last spring. Because of the strong SSW winds and Oddly enough IMV, the water stayed on the warm side even longer then a mile down shore from the warm water discharge area of the Hot Ponds. We were almost to our Spring time, hidden little shallow water cup area, when for no apparent reason the graph started showing hundreds of baitfish. The Capt.Dan FireTiger Bomber went off first on the brothers side of the boat and it was about a 19 incher. The next 5 others that fallowed were all females and between 4 and 5 pounders. Three others got off and one straightened the belly hooks on a bomber and got off before we could get a good look at it. 6 for 10 by 11:30am. All walleyes were caught on both the Fire Tiger and the Silver/Chartreuse bombers. Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | I just want to say...thanks...this gold star...well it means a lot to me because...well...I worked so hard. The star was made possible by all those that believed in me, for those that kept me going when times were tough. So I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that this star is not just for me my friends, it is for all of us. God bless you all and have a good night!

It does seem to be a (cover water deal) right now in it's early stages. And I still have all Red Power Pro on all my reels. Been using the brothers rigs lately is all and he's to cheap to buy PP. I have a gut feeling that night fishing/trolling that same shallow water shoreline with my Jet Sled (so as to avoid proping bottom to much) would produce in spades right now. With all the hidden humps and sand bars along that shoreline, I'd still have to be extra carefull. But I know those fish are up pushing shad and shiners in as little as 1 foot of water, because we see the huge flocks of sea and minnow gulls working those waters hard. But the Brother being afraid of the Boogie Man all his life never did like night fishing.
