Hit the Bay this morning at 7:30 sharp. Trolled for almost 3 hours from North tip of the Crib to East tip of Cigar. Changed lures often. All DDH's in many colors. 50 to 65 back. Not a bump, marked no other fish or seen any landed by any of the 15 other boats trolling around us. Told brother Dave to nail it towards the end of Boutell Road and stop in about 12 FOW. When we stoped I could see hundreds, maybe thousands of what I think were smelt or mature shad in the crystal clear water underneath the boat in all directions. Sent a Capt.Dan Fire Perch bomber out 23' attached the board and let it out 100 feet to the side. Started letting out #2 when I get a slam. 24 inch walleye. Brother Dave was soon into one. I Caught the third on the outside Fire perch and then nothing. Lost the school of baitfish somewhere out there and the walleyes went with them. Caught 1 more fish, a white bass on the Fire Perch as well. So I got a new secret spot. Trouble is, it keeps moving.
