123 boats headed out this morning as a cold front passes through for the the opening hours of the event. It's a tad rough out there, but the forecast is for calming winds and easy seas for the rest of the event.

The bite has been good. Every Pro WalleyeFIRST spoke with this morning feels limits will be the rule, and 30 to 35 pounds a day will be required to make the cut.

Trolling spinners and cranks are the techniques in use, and reports of traveling as far as 15 miles away and staying very close were about even. The key, according to most, is the big fish are not as concentrated as in the past, and the schools are smaller than they have been. General consensus is...this one will be a shootout.

The weigh in begins at 3 PM Eastern. Tune in to FLW Live for live video from the stage, and watch for a full report right here directly after the field weighs in.

WalleyeFIRST FLW Tournament Coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats and Mercury Outboards!

Richard Zachowski took the stage second, took the lead, and held on as 121 more pros weighed in. His 42 pound 13 ounce bag, as impressive as it is, holds the lead over second place David Kolb by just 1.5 pounds.

In third, just a bit back, is David Kleszyk, Kevin Mc Quiod is in fourth, Greg Yarbrough in fifth, Nathan Seiferlein sixth, Wayne Butz and Brett King are timed for seventh, Dean Arnoldussen is in ninth, and Alan Szoke rounds out the top ten. It took 37-7 to make the top ten.

The winds blew harder than forecast this morning, causing some Pros to have to adjust their game plan, but settled down for the afternoon. Tomorrow looks like the temps will hit 70 under sunny skies with SW winds 5 to 8 MPH. Some of the Pros are hoping for more wind, some are happy with what's forecast.

Tomorrow will determine who makes the cut to the top ten.

The most impressive weight of the day wasn't because of the weight of the fish. Lund/Mercury Pro Ron Seelhoff is one tough son of a gun.
