Location: Tobin Lake Sask. | Hey guys i am looking at buying a new yarcraft. Not sure what motor to go with, a 200hp yamaha or a merc. Any advise? The only thing i found out is that the yamaha is 98 lbs heavier.

| Opti I assume? The Opti will be way stronger than the Yamaha 200 stroke holeshot, speed, fuel economy etc.... |

| Ah the Verado good choice! The Supercharger will give a lot more lower end and mid range power. Have you looked at engine tests on either Yamaha or Mercs website? |

| You're looking at the old F200 Yamaha. Heavy slow motor at 608 lbs.
The new VMax SHO is 505 lbs. 4.2L V-6 is a big motor. Supposed to be a much improved performer over the F200, though still not up to the inline 4 Supercharged Verado. Verado also has ElectroHydraulic steering and DTS, Digital Throttle and Shift. Smooth.
And it's Black! Will look great on that Yarcarft!
One last thing is service. Merc dealers are everywhere.

| Both are excellent 4 strokes in terms of reliabilty. . The Verado has the edge on performance, especially if any elevation is in the mix.
Once I went Verado, I never went back. |
