Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Heres a link we researched and added to the breakdown of the where's, when's and how many our DNR put in the Saginaw Bay this past summer. According to them this is just the beginning. I was very impressed with their effort during this narrow planting window, when the fingerlings have to be planted fast before they start to cannibalize each other.
Also impressed with how the Tittabawassee River has become the major nursery and egg-taking river for a lot of the other state wide lakes and rivers being planted. Stand-by, the Bay will be back BIG TIME soon.

Looks like your DNR is doing a great job improving the fishery. I like that water, despite the fact it is HUGE. Great bass fishing, too!
Steve.
You call 546,000 square acres BIG. Yup, she's BIG. Our Bass fishing has been doing nothing but growing for the last 6 years. Bigger bass and more smallies not only in the rivers but in the Bay itself.
