thinking about getting a new ranger 620t(tiller) and unsure what to power it with. I currently have a 2002 ranger 620t with a 115 suzuki. great rig but at times could use a little more power and speed. My priority is slow forward trolling speed without using drift socks. anyone out there using the new merc 150 four stroke or suzuki 140 on a big tiller. like to know how slow forward they will troll down to. my 115 trolls 1.9 to 2.2. local dealer told me the merc 150 on a ranger 620 would troll down to 1 mph. I told him I'd order new rig but if it didnt troll under 2mph I would return rig for a full refund. he wouldn't accept my offer. sure would like to hear from users of either motor on how they perform. thanks.

The new Merc four stroke is much stronger than the Suzi. I have experience with both. Great motors, each, but the Merc is much stronger and will be faster.
