Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Switched gears this morning. Nick and I had planned to hit the Bay this morning for a little more Walleye CPR. But a suggestion by Nick last night when I called him, sounded like a little more fun to me then walleye fishing. Ya....I know, hard to believe huh? But the wind forecast for today wasn't 100% for sure, so the shore option seemed best.
And I'm gald we did it, because it paid off. I thought I had put my smoker away for the season. But in only 3 hour of casting this morning we went 4 for 6 on some dandy Lake Trout. I have to admit catching Trout of any species this size from shore is every bit the blast it was when I was a lowly bankie, fishing for Steelhead in my younger years from shore. Now for the clean/chunk and Brine process. Because tomorrow we smoke. Sorry, Pictures to big to load. You can view them on the NextBite board.

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Ya know, for as bad as some guys say Lake Trout taste. I never have understood their complaints. I cooked and smoked up the Lake Trout double wammy last night and we ate like Royalty.
