Looking for some customer reviews on the HotMaps WI MMC chip. Is it worth the investment?

Definately. Depending on the accuracy of the gps satellites that day (they vary alot of the time) it goes from being right on the money to being close enough to help you find structure much more quickly.

If you buy it make sure you get the 2004 version. They added a TON of lakes to the WI chip for 2004.

And for all you that have the 2003 version for any state. Navionics will give you a 50% discount on a new model year chip if you trade in your old one. Just call Navionics sales and they will tell you what to do.

I got Navionics to email me a file that lists all of the lakes by region, but the names are BOLDED of the lake that are either new or edited for the 2004 chip of that region. Shoot me an email if you want it. It is a .pdf file.

I have the old version and love it. I will be upgrading and saving a few bucks thanks to Carrocr. You can go right to Navionics website (http://www.navionics.com/Usa/Index.asp)and they give you the directions for upgrading right there.

I just ordered the new Lowrance handheld iFinder Pro Plus. It's compatible with the Navionic chips. I want to get some input on the accuracy and utility of the WI MMC maps before I spend the additonal coin. I have the hotspots cd software and can download waypoints but I think it will be nice to have the contour maps on the GPS too.

[Upon further review it looks like your question may have been directed at jackglasseye and carrocr. The Navionics website has an online list of all compatible GPS units www.navionics.com]

I have used the chips with a lms-240, a x-15, and a x-19. Also have a iFinder Pro on order so I can use all of the chips in a handheld.

Buyers Beware: All iFinder models will accept MMC cards, but the newly released iFinder PRO model is the only one that will run the hotmap chips.
