Member Posts: 113 | I have lung cancer, everyone that knows me know I never smoked or drank I lead a clean life. I get a part of my lung removed on the 22nd. I guess I just want to let people know that the tests, the xrays , the meds. are a pain plus the time to get to this point. Some of the tests are so painfull like biopsy needles then a small hole to get a bigger sample and it goes on.Now cut the ribs spread them then remove a chunk of the lung that has the tumor get sewn up then wait and hope they get it all. next chemo and radiation which get you sick as hell and the radiation burns like 2nd degree on your finger only right over the whole side. I am hoping that one just one person says enough with smoking to giveit up so they can enjoy their season I wont.

Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | The wife and I both quit smoking (Cold Turkey) some 25 years ago Jim. Swore if cigs went to $2.00 a pack I'd quit. Smoked 2 packs a day at the time. The health factor is a given, but can't imagine how much money I've saved over the years. The wife and I were spending $160.00 a month on cigs then. Stay strong and you'll be in my prayers tonight bud. I believe God is always surprised and listens to me closer when I'm not asking for self favors. Edited by walleye express 5/14/2014 7:12 PM
