Location: Rhinelander | The Allegheny River Reservoir is the most beautiful site the MWC has ever picked. We are catching fish and a few ok keepers. Rumor has it that there will be just short of 60 boats with 75% being local fishermen. Most tournaments of late are won with 10 pound weights per day. Catch a lunker and it's a home run. And the occasional big fish is always very possible here. The state record for both Pennsylvania and New York are from this lake. Locals say the bite has been tough for two weeks. Fish can be caught from shallow water to 50' using various techniques like: bottom bouncers, leadcore and jigging. Home court advantage may be very important but those who have seen reservoir conditions like this before from across the country may have ideas not used by local knowledge. This one will be interesting. Attachments ---------------- photo.JPG (108KB - 83 downloads)

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | A storm front came through on Monday with rain showing up about around 9:00am. We had thunder and lightening all around our location. Fish are still being caught even with this front. It just seems difficult to find big pods of fish here. The owner of the hotel that is having the weigh-in says we are up to 65 boats. He also said there was a 10 pound walleye caught today. The Registration/Rules Meeting is on Thursday at the Richard E. & Ruth McDowell Sport & Fitness Center Arena/Gym on the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford campus. The launch site is the Willow Bay Boat Ramp. Take-off will begin at 7:00 am on Friday with first flight due in at 4:00pm. Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Tuesday Thunderstorms shortened the day again for most anglers. A few worried faces at the boat launch because of the lack of quality tournament fish. Weather looks very favorable for the next two days of prefishing.

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Wednesday It's official, 65 boat field for the event. Today we saw a few scattered showers. Weather looks beautiful for the next 3 days. Locals are still saying they have not seen the fishing so slow. Proof will be at the scales.
