I'll second that! There is a size restriction which allows you to keep only one fish over 28" during spawning time though.

Location: Manitowoc, WI
The size restriction and refuge line restriction is in effect from March 8th through April 30th. Bag limit is one fish over 28" at that time. The refuge line is the big wire that runs from tower to tower about 200 yards below the dam.

Pick up an issue of the latest Wisconsin Sportsman magazine. I just got mine in the mail yesterday and it has an interesting article in it on what rivers to fish and when.
