I think we're gonna start seeing some 10's show up this year. The 8 year old '96 females out here gotta be near the 10 mark. Anyone out there have data on the '96 fish as to where there at growth wise?? Seemed like alot of 8 pounders last year. Wasn't it Just yesterday I was toasting the huge reproduction of '96, giving new life to the system.....that was 8 years ago??? Where did the time go? My God, It just hit me.....my truck I bought new in '96 is 8 years old !!!!
I hope some of you guys who fish tourneys land some of those 10 pounders during the tourney. When that hog is near the end of it's fight may your tounge turn white, your head throb and tummy turn to butterflies.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some 10's this year either, Big Al. I didn't have a great year for numbers last year, but I did get some nice fish. Had a couple 6-7's on Winnconne in prefish for the Merc. Also had some big fish on Winnebago. Can't wait for this ice to go away so we can get at them!!!

Lets hope for another good hatch this spring!

Call me a pessimist but 10#'s is a very big fish for 'bago. I've only known of 1 fish that topped 10#'s in recent years and it was a 34" spring run fish.

I think there will be a lot of 8-9 #'ers caught this year.

I've often wondered if 'bago has the genetics to produce such large fish.

Even on Green Bay there is a noticable difference between fish caught at the southern end vs. the northern end.

Just my 2 cents.

PS. I'd be happy for any of ya to take me out on 'bago and prove me wrong.

A buddy of mine caught a 10.5 lb 30" walleye yesterday through the ice. He took it to Wendt"s and someone there weighed it.
