I'm guessing about 1/2 to 3/4 of you guys will find this post not that interesting. But I'm also guessing the ones who fish the Saginaw Bay will be tickled (HOT-PINK) over it.

One of the really upsetting things I can remember about finding out that Normark was not only buying the Storm Lure Company, but was gutting the Crankbait line, was that us guys fishing the Saginaw Bay would never again be able to buy those custom colors that Franks Great Outdoors always carried. Those walleye killer colors like the Pinconning Paralyzer, Captains Choice, Boy George and about 6 or so others. These gaudy, sometimes scary colors worked miracles on days when all the natural baitfish colors in the world failed.

Then one by one different manufacturers started coming out with Storm Lure look-a-likes and made things a little better. But it's taken the son of the master himself, to bring back what was lost. I'm talking about the Dave's Ka'Booms Winning Streaks. And without breaking any advertising rules here on this board, I'll simply say I like and use these lures with success on the Saginaw Bay. But that's not really the good news.

I heard there is some talk between Dave's and Franks about bringing back those same bomb, killer custom colors in the Winning Streak design for Franks to retail this coming summer. I've already voiced my enthusiasm and approval to Pete at Franks, about how I feel about it and think it would not hurt if you Bay guys dropped Pete or Larry a little e-mail yourselves voicing your opinions. But be gentle, we don't want these customs to cost us anymore than the regular ones now do we.

I'm posting 6 of my favorite Custom colors below for you guys to reminisce over. Keep your fingers crossed and just maybe Santa will come in July this year.

I'm trying to figure out which would be Boy George. My guess is 3rd from left in the top photo!

Man.

Somebody has to do something about how BIG a simple 87kb picture turns out on this site now.

I think Zach is working on limiting the width of pics. It would be nice if he could come up with a deal to make submitted pics into thumbnails that you click on to enlarge. I see I'm not the only one who posts big pics! LOL

Anyway, it's not a problem for me at work, as I got a 21" monitor at 1280 X 1024 resolution! At home, I set my 17" LCD at 1024 X 768. Works good there, too. I just got the 17" LCD a couple weeks ago. As much as the prices have come down on them, it sure is a nice monitor.

Express,
Never worry about 'advertising rules' if you have good news about a company or product. It's OK to post the website address, and the guys email if you wish. Thanks for posting the pictures and letting everyone know these may be available again.
